Ronald McDonald Family Room

Respite for families at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital

Family-Centered Space and Support at the Hospital

In February 2004, RMHC of Nashville introduced the city’s inaugural Ronald McDonald Family Room, located at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. A haven for the families and friends of seriously ill children, this space offers a respite from the usual hospital environment, regardless of whether visitors are staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

The Family Room features cozy seating, a snack-filled kitchen, a play area for children, and a half bathroom, all supported by dedicated staff and volunteers. The Family Room operates daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, whenever a staff member or volunteer is available.
